Sound Meditation
The art of listening beyond what thought can reach.
Description du service
Sound meditation is the practice of deep listening, in which you hear with far more than the ear. Hidden inside the word heart are three instructions: HEAR. EAR. ART. To hear is to receive. The ear is the instrument of listening. Art is what becomes possible when we allow what we hear to move through us and take form. Most of us move through life listening primarily to thought. The mind narrates, predicts, interprets, and attempts to control what comes next. Sound offers another way in. Through the intentional use of singing bowls, gongs, voice, rhythm, silence, and vibration, attention begins to steady and mental effort begins to soften. As the thinking mind becomes less dominant, you are invited into a more direct relationship with sensation, presence, and the intelligence of the body. This is not simply an experience of relaxation. It is a practice of receptivity. Sound creates the conditions for you to notice what constant thinking has made difficult to hear. It asks nothing of you except your willingness to listen. Because thinking rearranges what you already know. Listening allows something entirely new to emerge. Sound meditation is offered privately, in groups, at retreats, and within corporate environments.
