The Meaning of Intimacy

We think Intimacy is about sex.  But Intimacy is about truth.  The ability to see and know all of ourselves, even the parts we may have struggled to love, or have been told we shouldn't love, the parts that we may feel we need to conceal. But, if we are unwilling to see all of ourselves, we can never truly be seen or known by another. 

To know one's self requires us to connect to our innermost parts.  It requires us to connect our heads with our hearts.  To dive deep within, examine the stories that have kept us stuck, and break free from our limitations. Because love has no limits. Which means you have no limits as you are an emanation of love. 

When we can stand in our truth, when we can truly show ourselves to others, with the inner knowing that we are safe, that’s intimacy.
